Ye is back performing in his hometown.
The Chicago-born artist is holding two shows at Soldier Field on September 3 and 4, his first performances in the city since the 2021 Donda listening event.
CBS Chicago reported that the stage setup includes a large dome-like structure at the center of the field, continuing Ye’s history of turning concerts into large-scale visual productions.
The return also comes after years of controversy surrounding Ye’s antisemitic statements and imagery. Earlier this year, he published an apology saying he regretted his past actions and comments.
