Tokyo Fashion Week’s SS27 street style took a darker direction than expected.

Across the week, attendees leaned into all-black looks, deep earth tones, oversized silhouettes, layered tailoring, technical outerwear and wide-leg proportions instead of the brighter palette usually associated with spring.

The styling also mixed structural denim, utilitarian pieces and subtle Y2K references, creating depth through texture and proportion rather than heavy branding.
