September 25 Is Officially Dolly Parton Day

September 25 is being dedicated to Dolly Parton.

Cities and communities across the country are marking Dolly Parton Day, with the date serving as a tribute to her classic song “9 to 5.” Nashville is celebrating with pink lights and public tributes, while New Orleans is hosting a parade and San Francisco is holding its own “Dolly Day” event. 

The celebrations also reflect Parton’s legacy beyond music. Her Imagination Library continues to distribute more than a million books each month to children across several countries, and organizers are encouraging donations to local literacy programs in her honor.
