Nvidia is making one of its biggest AI moves yet.
The company has agreed to acquire Hugging Face for $12.93 billion, adding a platform used by more than 18 million developers, researchers, and creators and home to millions of AI models, datasets, and applications.

Nvidia says Hugging Face will remain an open platform, with developers still able to choose their own models, frameworks, clouds, and computing platforms without being locked into Nvidia hardware.
The deal significantly expands Nvidia’s influence beyond chips and deeper into the infrastructure used to build and distribute open AI.
