Nearly three decades after Tupac Shakur’s death, the case has reached a historic verdict.
A Las Vegas jury found Duane “Keffe D” Davis guilty of first-degree murder for his role in orchestrating the 1996 shooting that killed the rap icon at age 25.
Prosecutors argued that Davis helped organize the attack as retaliation following a confrontation involving his nephew earlier that night. Davis was not accused of being the shooter, but his own interviews and memoir became central evidence in the case.
The verdict marks the first conviction in one of hip-hop’s most famous unsolved killings. Davis has indicated that he plans to appeal.
